Signatures rules:

We have installed mod for signatures:
we allow 1 image, and as many links you want in 6 lines and using 1500 characters.
Your links and images will be visible when you have 30 posts.

Simple

Ok now I see why my signature doesn't appear just now.

Dada-as, I noticed that only one banner will appear under 1 of our post in 1 page. Say we have 3 posts in 1 page, only our first post will show our signature banner. The other 2 won't show.

yea this is better, people will actually visit signatures if they see all different signatures, if you spam them with same thing they get used to it and dont click it.

That's right dada-as. Another good point is that the site loading very faster. After all, sign-profit banner that I use only count 1 banner per page eventhough I have 10 banners in 1 page. Controlling banner per member's post is just a good idea.

I never seen this kind of method being used. Dada-as the first that I found using this. Just a brilliant idea.

Well, i think 10 - 15 posts should be enough to figure out if person a spammer or not.
(i bet the point to allow sigs only after 30 posts was because of this)

Spammer can easy make 50 posts (so, it does not make sense), but for real posters takes some time.

Note that sigs are impotant not only for spammers (lol) and this could be the reason that some members will refuse to chat. (just my opinion)

I don't know whether this rule was implemented to try and cut down on the spammers, but I doubt it very much, what's to stop a person from spamming after they have sig rights?

All forums have rules that need to be kept to, whether we like it or not.

You are allready paid to post in this forum, why should you get instant free advertising aswell?  If members were able to have sigs at the start you could very well get a lot of hit and run posters that are only interested in promoting their own programmes and not helping the forum grow.

This, of course, is just my oppinion, I have not asked why there is a 30 post rule before signatures are allowed, I just got on a did what I came here to do, and that is post.

There are many reasons but i will just say one, main reason.

it is that we will not allow promotion and links for people that dont post.
this is mainly because of search engines, this forum will been highly optimized on search engines and we will not lose our points because of people that will just register. People with 0 posts also have signature visible in they profile...

30 posts is not allot and everyone who will join with reason to be member of our community will get that number fast.

That is an interesting point. I never realized that when the search engines would pick up the forum they would actually see the links in our signatures and could consider that a form of spamming. I understand why you want to wait until we have 30 posts. Like you said, that really isn't that hard to accomplish.
If people are not participating in the forum for a long while, do you delete their account like PTR and PTC programs do?

nope we never delete people.
