The group of the leading Russian FOREX-brokers advanced the initiative to create a specialized Self-regulated organization on the retail FOREX market in Russia.

“SRO foundation is a necessary stepping-stone on the way to creation of legal base for FOREX-brokers’ activity on Russian territory. The most important consequence of SRO activity for traders will be transparent financial reporting of brokers. The second, it will eliminate the possibility of financial market participants’ unfair activities. The third, elimination of regulatory indetermination will help to increase the country’s financial sector capitalization” – MasterForex president Igor Volkov comments the situation.

At the present time registration process of the Non-commercial Partnership “Regulation Center of Non-stock exchange Instruments and Technologies” (NP “RCNIT”) has started. Consequentially, (NP “RCNIT”) will acquire SRO status and become the plenipotentiary successor of the CRRMFM – non-commercial industrial organization, founded in 2003.

SRO’s top-priority on the Russian FOREX market will be adaptation of the best global professional activity standards for the Russian financial sector’s peculiarity. Regulatory basic standards must be designed for all the market participants’ interests protection and, first of all, for individual traders’ risks prevention.

It is anticipated that SRO NP “RCNIT” will start full fledged activity on the Russian FOREX market in the middle of 2011. It is supposed that, consequentially, all the companies providing access to the international FOREX market for individual Russian Federation citizens traders will be included into the SRO.

1. At the present time, Russian Federation legislation does not define a legal status of organizations acting on the FOREX market.  Regulators’ viewpoint is that the FOREX market participants’ activity is not included into the range of regulated type of activities, which means the FOREX market is not considered as stock market; FOREX market is not considered as activity of professional participants of the securities market;  FOREX market is not a part of the gambling industry; FOREX market is not a type of banking activity.

2. According to Russian Public Opinion Research Center data, in 2007 more that 0.3% of the Country population expressed willingness to work on the FOREX market; according to expert judgment, up to the beginning of 2010 this ratio increased to 0.5%). According to research conducted by FFMS of Russia in 2010, more than 5% of respondents would like to enhance their competency in the field of FOREX. In 2010 the quantity of individuals working on the FOREX market is evaluated for 400 thousand of people. Funds amount, deposited to trading accounts annually, i.e. excluding margin trading, accounts for 500 million USD (15 billion rubles).

3. The basic SRO NP “RCNIT”  regulations will be the following:

• Service for FOREX brokers’ clients living in Russia must be provided on the basis of legal entities, registered in Russian Federation.

• All market participants must meet the requirements for minimum capital and risk hedging of non-payments to traders. Capital must be stored on accounts of approved Russian banks.

• Market participants must fulfill a range of organizational and ethical requirements, designed on the basis of developed international experience ( requirements for information disclosure, correct informing on trading risks, provision of correct information in the advertising materials, counteraction to white-washing, etc.).

Results of the MasterForex charity campaign aimed at helping the victims of the natural disasters in Indonesia.

Dear traders and partners! MasterForex has finished the charity campaign “Everyone could have been in their shoes!” that was held from the 1st to the 30th of November, 2010. The event’s goal was to collect donations for people who suffered from the earthquake and tsunami which led to the death of more than 400 people and evacuation of more than 90.000 people.

As soon as local authorities sounded the alarm, MasterForex immediately reacted to the tragedy. According to the direction of the company’s administration $40,000 were allotted on short notice. The money was spent on the goods of prime necessity which were sent to the camps of the victims of the disaster. First of all several tons of head rice, instant noodles, baby food, medicines, cotton wool and bandages, blankets and personal hygiene were sent. The heads of representative offices MasterForex Bandung, MasterForex Bogor, MasterForex Tasikmalaya and MasterForex Jakarta arrived at Boyolali and Yogyakarta to monitor the process of transferring things to the victims.

Part of things and products was transferred to the charitable organization United of Nothing, which redirected aid to the settlements Dusun Podo, Desa Podosuko, Dusun Ngaglik Atas, Sawangan.

Also on behalf of all homeless and those who were placed in camps for the victims and on behalf of ourselves, we thank everybody who responded to the tragedy and has contributed to the rescue of victims. During this campaign 153 people came to the representative offices MasterForex Indonesia and brought food, clothes and bedding. Also 42 people sent parcels with donations.

Official opening ceremony was held on January, 20th in the  Leogrand Hotel & Convention Centre conference hall.  Starting from the Chisinau representative office opening Forex trading will become more accessible, convenient and high-quality for Moldavian traders.
